Coast Packing Expands Its #TastetheDifference Online Guide to Chicago, Urges Consumers to Sample Dishes Made with Healthy Animal Fats
Following the rollout of online gastronomic “taste maps” of Los Angeles and New York City, Coast Packing Company, the leading supplier of animal fat shortenings in the Western U.S., is yet again putting its website where its taste buds are, mapping restaurants and eateries, from Wicker Park to Hyde Park, from the Loop to Wrigleyville, where locals can try dishes prepared with lard or beef tallow.
The Chicagoland litany – some 35+ strong – just scratches the surface and will expand over time. Still, discerning diners will find the Michelin-starred (Acadia, Blackbird, Dusek’s, El Ideas, Long Man & Eagle, Oriole and Roister) alongside popular hangouts like Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse, Bang Bang Pie Shop and six convenient locations of Stan’s Donuts & Coffee.
“The best way to understand how much our food benefits from healthy animal fats – as opposed to heavily processed, industrially produced substitutes – is to go out on the town and experience what Chicago’s amazing chefs are up to,” said Eric R.
