Well, look no further…for #NationalBurritoDay we have mapped some LA restaurants where locals can now find and #TastetheDifference of refried beans cooked with lard, instead of industrially-processed vegetable oils. Bonus for us, some even use lard in their traditional style tortillas!

*SPOTLIGHT* Al & Bea’s Mexican Food is a burrito joint that’s been a fixture in L.A.’s Boyle Heights since 1966. Their burritos are a study in simple beauty: refried beans, cheese, tortilla. The refried beans are made with lard and have been described as “smoky, garlicky, rich, and creamy”. Mmmm ???? ????
